Located in the centre of the Campus, the air-conditioned auditorium houses advanced audio-visual facilities. With its seating capacity of 500 students, it serves as an excellent venue for conferences, seminars, debates and other such events.
Sports activities at Gomal Medical College Dera Ismail Khan are organized by a designated Chief Sports and Social Activities Organizer. With the support and close coordination of the HigherEducation Commission, annual sports weeks and tournaments are organized. Facilities currently available at the campus include table tennis and badminton. Outdoor games such as football, hockey, cricket and basketballare held at the GIMS sports grounds.
Gomal Medical College has its own 2 hospital 250 bed well equipped hospital , which provides round the clock health care facilities to students, employees and their dependent family membersand the poor and needy.
A cafeteria is located in a separate block with a seating capacity of about 60 students. A separate room has been made for the female students. It offers meals and snacks at modest prices and caters to both the faculty and students.
The Administration Block includes the office of the Principal, the Conference Room, the Human Resource Department, the Medical Education Cell and allied offices.
The University has 25 vehicles in its pool. Buses provide pick and drop services to the students and staff. In addition, they provide the transport facilities for picnics, tours andcommunity visits. Ambulances and other duty vehicles cater to emergencies around the clock.
The University also provides accommodation to students who require it. There are five hostels for the male students and four for the females. Each student is allotted a bed, cupboard and a study table. All the hostels have aloving-room with a television for the students to relax in, and a dining-table for meals, which can seat about thirty students. A Student Mess Committee sets the menu andruns the mess on a no-profit, no-loss basis.
The Central Library of the University is located in the main campus. It is a comfortable, air-conditioned space with a mass of organized, up-to-date text and reference books and journals to meet the needs of the students and faculty.
Twenty-five computers with internet connectivity have been made available in the Computer Lab to assist the staff and students in their research work and assignments. They also provide access to internationally reputed medical journals. The computers may even be accessed after University hours.
